Moving your collection from CLZ Games
CLZ keeps your data exportable, which is to its credit. If the subscription no longer earns its place, here is how to take your list with you.
Why people move
CLZ Games and its desktop sibling Game Collector are thorough, and long-time users praise the filtering. The complaint that comes up most from its own users is cost: the mobile and web versions run on a subscription, and the desktop program is a separate purchase. If you are paying mainly to keep a list you could keep for free, the move pays for itself the day you make it.
Export from CLZ
In the CLZ Games app or on CLZ Cloud, use the export function to produce a CSV or text file of your collection. Choose the fields that matter: title, platform, format or edition, condition, quantity, purchase price and date, barcode if present, and notes. Save the file to your phone or cloud storage.
Barcodes are worth including. Where CLZ has them, an importer can match a game exactly rather than by title, which removes most of the review step.
Import into GamerVault
Open Import in GamerVault, choose the file, and confirm the column mapping the app detected. Condition words CLZ uses map to loose, complete in box or sealed; quantities and purchase details are kept. Rows the app cannot match with confidence are shown for a quick choice, usually where a title has several releases. Your CLZ data is unchanged; the export is a copy.
Keep the list, drop the subscription
GamerVault imports a CLZ export, scans barcodes for new pickups, and shows loose, complete, sealed and graded values from PriceCharting for every game, with no subscription and no ads. Your list exports back out as CSV whenever you want it.
